Born in 1955, Nick, was born in Tennessee and at the age of one they moved to Louisiana. Where he learned to love the Rhythm and Blues of New Orleans. The sounds of the Horns in the streets and the great voices that could be heard for blocks away. It became apart of his soul, and realized it was his dream. Nick would sit for hours listening to his uncle’s play and sing on the front porch and knew that is what he wanted to do.
By the time the early 70’s rolled around he was on the road with his own Band, “Southern Edge“ . He played with many great performers such as David Allen Cole, BB King and Fat’s Domino. His first album was released in 1972 titled “We can Stick Together” A article by Skydog’s Elysium states that Nick sounds more like the Rock of Elvis than Southern Rock., and that the album would probably sit at home with a lot of people. He grew up in the age of the Allman Brothers and Skynard. Nick, now living in Northern Alabama, has decided to come out of the darkness and has out new releases. All available on Itunes and Amazonmp3. He can be found on many internet radio stations through out the United States and in 40 different countries. He can also be found on his main site: http://www.reverbnation.com/nicklaseter or on others like ArtistPr, DigitalRodeo, Soundclick, Facebook and just too many others to mention. Nick, has written hundreds of songs and finds inspiration from the great artist of time gone by. “The old southern pickers from his childhood in Louisiana as he puts it”. Nick’s music puts him up there with some of the greatest Country, Southern Rock and R&B artist of today |
