BIOGRAPHY
EARLY YEARS Joel Jerome (born December 23, 1986), Better known by his stage name Milli, is a rapper and a producer. He is best known for being one of the most talented and unique unsigned artist. Milli was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Before the tender age of 4, he lost his mother unfortunately to breast cancer. After the tragic loss of his mother, he moved to Jamaica, Queens to live with his father. Milli attended Springfield Garden High School in Queens, and graduated in 2005. He then furthers his education at Community College of Philadelphia where he majored in Culinary Arts and graduated with honors. MUSICAL CAREER EARLY YEAR Milli started rapping at the age of 14 when he realized it was a way to express himself and release his hidden emotion. Milli had numerous amount of black and white composition notebook filled with rhymes. While other boys his age were out playing and chasing girls, Milli would spend his days in room writing down his thoughts. Milli released his debut mixtape, All Or Nothing (A Hustler’s Ambition) in early 2010 before graduating college. All or Nothing was based on his means to strive for excellence and overcome his life’s obstacles, which purpose was also to inspire other individuals that were experiencing the same hurdles. Prior to releasing his second mixtape, Milli released his single “DO YOUR THING” produced by Vybe Beatz in early 2011 for promotional purposes, which depicts a more creative side of him. DO YOUR THING is a banger that will definitely bring excitement to the club, with a speaker-blowing beat and extremely catchy hook that compliments the concept of females’ independence and sexuality. His work ethics, versatility, and his will power for perfection silicified his spot of becoming one of the greatest hip-hop artists and producer of his era. |
