Recent recipient of The Los Angeles Music Awards Best Male Adult Contemporary Vocalist, Massachusetts-born Michael Duff is the former lead singer and songwriter of Columbia Records' critically-acclaimed alternative rock act, Chalk FarM. Selling over 70,000 copies of their debut CD, his success with the band includes a Top 10 and a Top 40 single on Billboard's Rock and Modern Rock Radio charts ("Lie on Lie" & "Live Tomorrow"), MTV airplay and years of North American tours performing for tens of thousands with Matchbox Twenty, The Goo Goo Dolls, Better than Ezra, Dishwalla, Tonic and others, plus appearing on the covers of Music Connection and other magazines. You may have also seen him and the rest of the band in Jerry Bruckheimer's smash hit "Coyote Ugly."
Since disbanding Chalk FarM, Duff has had songs recorded by Meatloaf, Australian sensation Kate Ceberano, has been heard singing on CBS's "The Young and The Restless" and in the Disney/Warner Bros. film "A Cinderella Story." This debut solo effort has many all-star guest songwriters including Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Faith Hill, Sheryl Crow), Reed Vertelney (Clay Aiken, Destiny's Child, Luther Vandross), Lindy Robbins (Nick Lachey, Faith Hill, Lisa Loeb), Jess Cates (Nick Lachey, Backstreet Boys), Grammy-nominated Shelly Peiken (Christina Aguilera, Meredith Brooks, Pretenders) and Academy-Award and Grammy nominated Jud Friedman (Whitney Houston, Ray Charles, Tina Turner). The Los Angeles-based Duff is currently planning a touring schedule to get out and perform for the still-loyal Chalk FarM fan base and new fans.
