Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Richie Furay, who founded Buffalo Springfield and Poco helped order the tracks on Aquila. "To me there was no question as I listened that that Child of the Wind should be the closer, other favorites include Center of Light and Soul Purpose. Good job, good musicians. I even detected a little (Eagles guitar work there)." - Richie Furay. The mastering, production and engineering was done by Jim Brady who has done the same for Neil Young, Linda Ronstadt, Kenny Rogers, Cracker, the Crow Soundtrack and the television show, the Young Riders. Ed Delucia: Guitars (Ronstadts) Ralph Gilmore: Drums (Grass Roots) Jim Brady: Bass (Sunspot) "I have been involved with Classic Rock radio stations for nearly 20 years and the music, although great, is not changing. Recently I listened to a new release Aquila by Laurie Larson and was blown away, classic rock but it is new stuff. Like Neil Young said, 'Rock and Roll is here to stay' and Laurie proves it with every cut from her album. The melody has that haunting roughness that makes it sound classic and the lyrics are timeless. It is a must play on any rock station."- Jim Seemiller, President, ATB Broadcast Consultants, Inc. |
