Luis Alberto Santiago, artistically known as L.A. Santiago, was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, a small town on Lake Erie about an hour from Cleveland. His father a musician as well, was Luis's first introduction to music. A self taught guitarist, his father had a Meringue Band, and a weekly live radio show that featured his father's music. As a young child Luis loved to sing, but much to his parent'sdismay, they were not hip to the same music Luis wanted to sing, and they often discouraged him. This only pushed him harder to pursue the music career he dreamed of. Although he began singing at the age of four, and had some vocal training as a child, Luis did not pursue his professional music career until April of 2006. It was then that Luis realized time was passing him by and did not want his dream slipping by him. Luis a person who visualizes success and was determined to succeed, set out to prove all of the people in his life who had always doubted him, and headed to San Antonio with only $600 in his pocket. After getting off to a rocky start in San Antonio, Luis soon began to accomplish great things in his musical career. He now has completed his first album "Make Your Move", which includes upbeat single "Fight Back", R&B style single "I'm Missing You", and a "Sweet Dreams" remake with a romantic and Latin twist sure to make any girl melt, the album also includes four Latin tracks. The album in general is a Latin Pop album, and influences such as Frankie J., DJ Kane (Kumbia Kings), and even Elvis Crespo are very apparent but Luis has a very unique and amazing style that can be compared to no one. He is working with Pro Audio Recording Studio's - Paul V. Hernandez on most of his music. Luis continues to record and perform, and pursue his dream of singing to large audiences and of Grammy recognition, which is sure to be in the near future.
