Jimi Blackstone began his music journey at the age of 5 when he would listen to such bands as The Rolling stones, The Stray Cats , Led Zepplin and Jimi Hendrix. He began playing guitar at the age of 11 and really began to grow with his playing during his early teens which included the influences of SRV, Robert Johnson, and all Chess label material. Joining several different bands through out his twenties he decided to begin his own blues project which would combine all of this influences of Rock and Blues that he has grown to love. The main goal of Jimi Blackstone is to create new blues music with and old blues feel and put his place on the map of blues history along with the other great blues artist through out his life.
