Idols Are Higher, a group of 5 talented musicians from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England have re-released their album ‘Saturnalia’.
The album will be available exclusively on-line, which will hopefully re-acquaint old fans and build upon their fan base and get their music heard by more people than ever. The album, ‘Saturnalia’, consists of eight original songs from the band, each providing a combination of their melody driven rock with sleaze soaked guitar riffs, strong rhythms and distinctive vocals. Their grounding came in playing traditional Rock music – which began to get them known whilst playing in venues throughout the North East and across the UK. They were always keen to bring something unique to the traditional guitar sound. ‘Saturnalia’ was born, bringing hard rock back to the forefront. The album was recorded at The Cluny Studios in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England and was produced by Tony Davies who has worked with Maximo Park. The band have been influenced by numerous artists and genres of music from across the globe, including, Biffy Clyro, The Black Crowes, Whitesnake, Bad Company, Free, The Jesus Lizard, Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi and Red Hot Chilli Peppers amongst many others. ‘Saturnalia’ has a raw lyrical quality and uniquely melodic edge, which is hard to find in today’s manufactured rock music scene.
