Bryan (bjustb) Washington
Bronx New York, United States
Singer/Songwriter / Soul
When it comes to BjustB-ing, genre is meaningless. Where does BjustB fit in; wherever BjustB goes, as water flows, along paths of B's own, reflecting upon those who've inspired along the way.
From a multipliciously delicious world of musical influences: Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Prince, Sly Stone, George Clinton, Quincy Jones, Dionne Warrick, Duke Ellington, Stevie Wonder, Burt Bacharach, Sylvester, Elton John, Lou Rawles, Peobo Bryson, Natalie Cole, Barry Manilow, Patti LaBelle, Minnie Ripperton, Phyllis Hyman, Jennifer Holliday, Billy Joel, Al Jerrau, Herbie Mann, Henry Mancini, Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band, and many more, comes BjustB, in the rough, in a Rainbow-illuminated Musicalovely Universe of his own. Just keeping it real - telling it like it is. Doing what B's doing for the love of it.
Mayhaps something along the way will catch an ear--tickle someone's fancy--provoke another to think--bring back a memory--strike a nerve--make ya laugh--maybe even leave ya with ya mouth hanging open going what the F***?????
That what BjustB-ing is all about. To each his/her own. Love ain't never hurt anyone. If it ain't no love in it, better leave that thang alone. Be just and just Be.
BjustB
An Indianapolis Native, B's a natural-born piano player. A transplanted Hoosier living in the Bronx, he has been composing arranging, performing and recording his own music for years, simply for the love of it, always following his own musical path, rarely choosing to share his creations with the outside world. Now, after compiling a vast musical catalogue, publishing two novels, "DILLIRGAF?" & "The Roomie Do Me Blues", and completing a four-part-teleplay adapted from "Blues" and a new Musical Drama written for the Stage "Shades of Rebellion"; The time has finally come for the Butterfly to be released from his cocoon.
