Brent Wheeler Music is ‘Raw Passion’. Composed of true emotions from the heart’s eye view, Michigan native Brent Wheeler carries the torch from song to song as he demonstrates a voice that soothes and soars.
Refusing to be limited to one instrument of vocals, he is versatile in playing drums, guitar, keys, strings, and bass. Brent has developed into a one-stop-shop artist as he owns a small recording studio (Studio 11:33) where he writes, arranges, engineers, and produces his songs and recordings. His musical influences are diverse ranging from Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, and Blind Melon to Stone Temple Pilots, Chris Cornell, Jane’s Addiction, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ben Harper, U2, Lenny Kravitz and Tool. Looking at Brent Wheeler’s career timeline – many milestones have been achieved. In the year 1997 Brent was accepted into Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA to study Percussion. In 1999 he graduated and appeared in Teen People Magazine as the main face and voice for the story on Musicians Institute entitled “Cool School”. 2000 proved to be a huge year of growth for Brent as he won the audition for lead vocalist and writer with Jet Pack Heroes in Los Angeles, CA. Jet Pack Heroes later headlined the 2000 Santa Fe Film Festival in New Mexico. The band also had private invitations to perform for Interscope Records, Jimmy Iovine, Tony Ferguson, Jordan Schur, Sony Publishing, Extasy Records, Michael Rosenblatt, and HITS Magazine. Their legal representation was ‘Serling, Rooks, and Ferrara’ who also represented Creed, Maroon 5, and John Mayer. Brent appeared twice on Ed McMahon’s Next Big Star with his band Clockwork in 2001. With the same band in 2002 he performed live in an episode of MTV’s Dismissed at 14 Below in Santa Monica, CA. Clockwork worked with producer Jeehun Whang along with co-founder of Lollapalooza Jeff Janpol to further develop their sound. Two of Clockwork’s songs “Frequency” and “Liquid Soular System” were later featured in an episode of Extreme Sports on FOX combining bmx freestyle, skateboard, and inline skate teams. In 2006 Brent ranked in the top 100 in the world auditioning for the CBS series Rock Star: Supernova. All of these experiences have helped shape his character and have increased his determination to continue his musical aspirations. Though many doors have closed, many more have opened. Brent Wheeler is now driving his solo career and starring as the energetic front man in the hard rock band Fear Blind (FearBlind.com). In July of 2007 Fear Blind released their self-produced debut album entitled “Step Inside” which is getting a lot of great reviews and turning many heads worldwide.
